Grapevine adopters’ newsletter (January, 2014)

Surprisingly, it’s been a month since the New 2014 Year’s eve, so we’re having a very good start to this new period full of challenges and opportunities.

So here’s our brief summary of these 31 days, which as you can notice, have brought us a lot of work to do, as well as surprises and emotions!

Regarding the weather, we may well focus on the ruthful temperatures that gave us a particularly pleasant winter which has seen little rain so far, no frost and lovely and balanced warmth. Such wonderful weather allowed us to keep toiling restlessly: we were able to advance in winter pruning, bottle towards new orders and to stabilise the 2013 sweet wine… the latter being a surprise project we’re working on these days.

Tourism and sales at the winery have also chipped in very productively, among which:

We started a new collaboration with the Miró Cubells olive oil mill, so we’ve got a new suggestion for visitors that features tasting ecologic olive oil at the winery (see more on the visits page).

On 11 January, we had a chance to get to know the participants of the theatre course DesdeZero (Reus). They paid us a guided tour shared between Celler Devinssi and Agrícola Falset-Marçà. The novel and very useful technologies made it possible for us to follow the visit at each stage via Twitter.

On 26 January, Baco y Boca influential bloggers came over to end up amazed by our wines. Again, we can track their visit to our winery via the social networks: posts on their blog and Twitter.

Regarding our dear grapevine adopters, we’re blissful to welcome the new members! We’d like to take this chance to remember that pictures of your adopted vines will be available in May, since right now… they have neither foliage nor twigs.

We’d also like to notify that every month we’ll open the access to older entries on the blog (those published a year before), thus everybody can read freely the entry about January, 2013.
