From 9 to 15 November, we’ll be part of the Catalan Wine Week! Our activity includes a visit to the winery with tasting of our young 2020 wine.
The Catalan Wine Week presents and promotes wines of Catalonia throughout its geographic area. Being the annual festival of Catalan wines, this event brings together a whole set of activities throughout the Catalan territory with one great common goal: to offer a taste of the immense variety and richness of the wine industrry. The Clos Figueras winery (Gratallops, DOQ Priorat) is preparing the 3rd edition of the Cheese and Priorat Wine Show. The fair will be taking place this Sunday, 10 April, 2016, and is going to be slightly different from the 2nd fair of Catalan cheeses and Priorat wines (2015). Well, yes, there will be stalls for wine makers and cheese farmers, so you’ll be able to enjoy taging these products while walking and browsing around. There are going to be wines from our county’s both wine appellations: Continue reading
In a few days, the Setmana Santa (Easter holiday) begins and gives you a nice chance for an escape, journey or excursion. Obviously, the Priorat is ready to create those very special moments of leisure with family, partner or friends…
We usually only host booked visits. Well, this Easter holiday is high time we broadened this rule. Apart from the already booked wine tours, we’re flinging wide the doors during the Setmana Santa and offer to taste our Continue reading
We’d like to say many thanks to Tivissa town hall for having encouraged us to participate in the IV Christmas Fair that took place during the 5-6 December weekend. We felt very warmly welcome by local people. Besides promoting our DOQ Priorat wines, we also met some wine-making professionals from Terres de l’Ebre…
We wish you happy Yuletide and New Year! We’ll get back to the topic next year!

In fact, Priorat and the Ebro Lands are close neighbours. Just get behind the wheel and drive from the Ebro River’s dynamic waters and prolific gardens, so in 20-30 minutes you’ll land in a rugged area of vineyard slopes and terraces. And vice versa.
So, on 5-6 December, during the Puríssima long weekend, there’ll be a place to discover our wines in a very scenic village of Tivissa, located in the Ribera d’Ebre county. Continue reading
Abril plujós i maig ventós, fan el pagès ric i profitós (Rainy April and windy May make the peasant rich and wealthy. A Catalan saying)
Dear grapevine adopters,
Before all, we’d like to thank those of you who were able to make it here to participate in the green-pruning master-class on 24 May. Despite the municipal elections! Thanks indeed! The upcoming activity – vine trimming – is on 19 July, 2015. Continue reading
Abril finit, hivern passat. (April’s over, winter’s over. A Catalan saying)
The saying is very true, April is over, and it was a very pleasant month. The weather wasn’t cold or hot, just warm. Rains were quite occasional, which favoured remarkably the right development of new shoots and blossoms, both things being abbundant! So were poppies that cropped up all around our vineyards and awarded us with a burst of fancy colours! Continue reading
Març marcedor, nit freda i dia amb calor (March-like March, cold nights and warm days. A Catalan saying)
As the saying tells us, March has been quite unpredictable in terms of weather. Days of cold, rain, fog, and particularly overcast ones, when clouds wouldn’t dissipate… Sometimes, the landscape seemed so melancholic that we weren’t able to take any picture. However, the month’s finale was just surprising: full of sunshine and quite warm. With typically cool Priorat nights, though… So we started the Easter week enjoying some noticeably springlike weather! Continue reading
In fact, we wanted to title it: “Celler Devinssi, the big revelation at TastambLlops 2015”, however owing to our modesty, we haven’t done that 🙂
Anyway, on 2 May, we’ll be in Plaça de Dalt, Gratallops, from 6 to 9 pm, together with other 10 wineries operating in our village and also with some guest wineries.
Over the recent years, CellerDevinssi has participated quite a few times in the Wine Fair held in early May in Falset and involving our county’s both wine appellations: DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant. Meanwhile, we’ve been keeping an eye on the event that belongs to the extended version of the Fair: TastambLlops (“Tasting with Wolves” in Catalan) at the Cal Llop Hotel. This is a get-together that englobes the cellars that have wines entirely produced in our village of Gratallops, therefore these wines are called ‘vins de la vila’. Continue reading
