This year we are resuming tour grape harvest workshops, because we already have requests to live the experience of grape harvesting and we cannot say no to our grapevine adopters and other Celler Devinssi’s friends.

Celler Devinssi takes part in the Priorat Tomato and Orchard Days, 19 August – 11 September, 22

Priorat Tomato and Orchard Foodie Days wine tastingThis August and September, the Priorat Tomato and Orchard Foodie Days are back, organised by the Priorat Enoturisme association, of which Celler Devinssi has been part since 2019.

The days aim to highlight the local seasonal vegetables of the Priorat county, now that their taste characteristics are at their peak.

About thirty members of the Priorat Enoturisme association are putting at your service different activities related to tomatoes and other local vegetables: restaurants, accommodation, oil mills and wineries have mouth-watering proposals that will be held between 19 August and 11 September, 2022.

Tapas is are a great Spanish foodie tradition that has always been linked to wine. The tradition dates to the middle ages, when tavern keepers offered tapas alongside the wine to make sure carriage drivers had some food to offset the libations.

Nowadays, tapas have become an elaborate nosh, with myriads of combinations, ranging from simple pickles to sophisticated savouries, such as pinchos. Tapas pair wonderfully with wines.

Local shops: where do our nibbles come from?

A few years ago, we started offering the wine tasting with local nibbles called PICA-PICA”, thanks to our guests’ suggestions. The experience includes: a visit to the vineyard (to get to know the “terroir” and view Priorat‘s breath-taking scenery from Gratallops’ angle), a visit to the winery (where we make our wines) and a wine tasting with local nibbles. The price is €30 per person.

The new format of our wine tasting with pica-pica (local nibbles)

Many visitors ask to taste wines paired with local products.

Over time, observing how this experience works, we’ve come up with the exact list of ingredients you generally like.

Here they are: fuet, jamón, cheese, Arbequina olives, pa amb tomàquet i oli, nuts.

Now, with the new safety rules, we serve these nibbles in individual lunchboxes.

We also have the wine-and-food pairing option for vegetarians and vegans. It includes vegan sausage and cheese. For vegetarians, it can include sheep, goat or mixed cheese.

Grape harvest workshop is back to Gratallops, DOQ Priorat, on 22 September 2019

Save the date on 22 September (Sunday) to enjoy Priorat’s scenery and learn to harvest or improve your grape harvesting skills.

The workshop will include a briefing on harvesting techniques and a grape harvesting session. Afterwards, there will be a wine tasting at the vineyard, paired with local products.

Schedule:

  • 10.00 – 10.30 am – meetup at Devinssi Celler
  • 10.30 – 11.00 am – guided walk to the vineyard
  • 11.00 am – 12.45 pm – grape harvest workshop
  • 12.45 – 1.30 pm – wine tasting paired with local products
  • 1.30 – 2.00 pm – return to the village

Prices:

  • General fee: € 30 per person (VAT included).
  • Grapevine adopters: € 15 per person (VAT included).

Places are limited.

Please confirm before 20 September 2019.

Please advise if you have any food restrictions. We will post the ingredients closer to the workshop date.
