Spains best wineries and wine tastings, visiting DOQ Priorat winery, wine travel with Celler Devinssi

Wine tasting in the vineyard at sunset in Priorat

Spoiler: According to TripAdvisor, among Catalonia’s top 10 wineries, three belong to DOQ Priorat! How about a wine tasting in the vineyards?

More good news! We already have the official TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award here. Previously, this award was called Certificate of Excellence.

TripAdvisor is one of the world’s most popular web portals providing information for travelers (according to the Statista report), where a significant part of the content is based on user feedback on the destinations they have visited, accommodation, restaurants, etc. Wine travel also has good coverage there.

Our Celler Devinssi winery was admitted to TripAdvisor in 2015. Our profile has the necessary information about wine tastings at our winery and plenty of photos, uploaded by both us and our guests. We haven’t enabled bookings via TripAdvisor because we prefer to manage them directly

When we received the Travelers’ Choice Award notice we decided to see which wineries we neighbour in TripAdvisor rankings. Surprisingly, it turns out that in Catalonia we are number 1, according to the traveller ranking, followed by such stars as Recaredo, Llopart, Castellroig, Avgvstvs Forvm, Burgos Porta (greetings to our DOQ Priorat neighbours), Parès Baltà, Masia Serra, Mas Vicenç (hugs to the calçots‘ birthplace!) i Perinet (DOQ Priorat neighbours again).

An even bigger surprise has been to find ourselves topping the list of Spain’s best wineries, followed by such bodegas as Viña Costeira (DO Ribeiro), Tritium (DOCa Rioja), Don Olegario (DO Rías Baixas), Remsamen (Marbella), Peñafalcón (Ribera del Duero), Hidalgo de la Gitana (DO Jerez-Xérés-Sherry), Recaredo (Sant Sadurní d’Anoia), García-Hidalgo (small artisan winery in Ronda, Màlaga), Campo Eliseo (DO Rueda i DO Toro) and Llopart (Subirats).

We’d like to congratulate the colleagues of all the wineries that strive for quality wine tourism, focussing the experience on guests’ emotions paired with quality wine.

We’d also like to thank all the guests who have visited us over the years and especially for your support of the small local producer during this complicated time caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Salut i vi!

Josep Roca and the Celler Devinssi team
