Wine tasting with local nibbles. Serving suggestion.
A few years ago, we started offering the wine tasting with local nibbles called “PICA-PICA”, thanks to our guests’ suggestions. The experience includes: a visit to the vineyard (to get to know the “terroir” and view Priorat‘s breath-taking scenery from Gratallops’ angle), a visit to the winery (where we make our wines) and a wine tasting with local nibbles. The price is €30 per person.
So where do we get the local food? We do as much as we can to favour small local shops and to prioritise our area’s commercial network. We stick to this philosophy Continue reading

Our 2018 2018 red Mas de les Valls and 2017 red IL·LIA wines (both DOQ Priorat) have been awarded by the prestigious independent wine guide Gilbert & Gaillard, published in France but with international projection.
The scores obtained are:
The group was founded in 1989 by Philippe Gaillard and François Gilbert who began their career as series directors for publishing house Presses de la Cité. In 1991, they began to publish their own guides and magazines. Today they head a multimedia group dedicated to wine that has offices in 22 countries. The Gilbert & Gaillard group is totally independent and wholly owned by its founders. Gilbert & Gaillard also derives its notoriety from the International Challenge Gilbert & Gaillard, an international wine competition organized by Wine Tasting and Trading Ltd (Hong Kong) which awards medals to wines from around the world.

Wine tasting in the vineyard at sunset in Priorat
Spoiler: According to TripAdvisor, among Catalonia’s top 10 wineries, three belong to DOQ Priorat! How about a wine tasting in the vineyards?
More good news! We already have the official TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award here. Previously, this award was called Certificate of Excellence.
TripAdvisor is one of the world’s most popular web portals providing information for travelers (according to the Statista report), where a significant part of the content is based on user feedback on the destinations they have visited, accommodation, restaurants, etc. Wine travel also has good coverage there.
Definitely, 2020, baptised by Hurricane Gloria, will forever be etched in our memory.
The disastrous effect of the Covid-19 has been noticed here in Priorat. Three months with no tourists, with no people in the street. Of course, with a minimum risk of virus rebound… Learn more…
We’re lucky to have been able to take care of the vineyards: whole spring spent alone with nature, with an uncertain future, toon…
This year, the vineyards have needed a lot of human presence… The endless spring rains have caused the plague called mildew to spread throughout the vineyards: a fungus that dries the grapes… Learn more…
We have had some losses of Carignan (Samsó) and Red Grenache, but if we zoom out to the DOQ Priorat level we have no right to complain. The careful dedication during the most complicated season in terms of weather and epidemiology and a some luck have made this 2020 grape harvest possible: Grenache and Carignan in very good condition, healthy and juicy Cabernet Sauvignon… Meanwhile, after a dry and sunny august, the harvest has been somewhat early and very dynamic. “Si del dia vols profit, que no et trobi el sol al llit”. A Catalan saying. (“The early bird catches the worm”… or maybe the wine?)
We have a new proposal for those of you who are able to get up earlier to enjoy a wine tasting in the vineyard.
On the one hand, we see the current demand for our wine tastings and, on the other hand, we must stick with the safety rules against Covid-19, which force us to limit the visitor count per group.
Therefore, for your safety, we suggest that you also take advantage of the 10am to 12 noon time slot to visit Celler Devinssi. To reward early-bird visitors who want to turn up at 10am, we offer you a 20% discount on the price of any type of visit you choose. It also applies to gift vouchers (ask us for the online shop discount code).
Into the bargain, early birds will have a 5% discount on the price of wine purchased at the cellar door.
The promotion is not cumulative. Valid from 1 April to 31 October.
Stay healthy and enjoy wine! (IN MODERATION)
P.S. If you feel like starting at 9am, let’s haggle the discount! We’ll surely find common ground 🙂
Many visitors ask to taste wines paired with local products.
Over time, observing how this experience works, we’ve come up with the exact list of ingredients you generally like.
Here they are: fuet, jamón, cheese, Arbequina olives, pa amb tomàquet i oli, nuts.
Now, with the new safety rules, we serve these nibbles in individual lunchboxes.
Here are a couple of photos. Do you fancy it?
We also have the wine-and-food pairing option for vegetarians and vegans. It includes vegan sausage and cheese. For vegetarians, it can include sheep, goat or mixed cheese.
Please remember that any wine tour should be booked at least TWO DAYS BEFOREHAND.
While the world keeps contending with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, Priorat has reached phase 3 of the de-escalation.
We suppose that wine tourism recovery to the same levels will be gradual and always on the alert for health safety.
We are very excited to announce that we are reopening the cellar doors to welcome you here in the Priorat. Did you feel like leaving home? Going on an excursion, tasting wines, viewing some unmatched scenery. Scenery that has been waiting for you uncomplainingly…
Obviously, new safety measures have come to wine tourism. Tastings have new rules to ensure that you are protected throughout the experience.
At Celler Devinssi, in fact, we already began to apply some of these rules long before the pandemic. Now, they have expanded, and obviously include some new things. For example, safety masks, group size, distances… All this just for the sake of a pleasant and safe experience.
We present the SARS-CoV-2 safety measures that will be applied while visiting Celler Devinssi. Read them carefully to find out what exactly awaits you.
