In a few days, the Setmana Santa (Easter holiday) begins and gives you a nice chance for an escape, journey or excursion. Obviously, the Priorat is ready to create those very special moments of leisure with family, partner or friends…
We usually only host booked visits. Well, this Easter holiday is high time we broadened this rule. Apart from the already booked wine tours, we’re flinging wide the doors during the Setmana Santa and offer to taste our Mas de les Valls 2013 (DOQ Priorat wine elaborated from red Grenache, Carignan and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon) and Cupatge 2014 (no-barrel wine produced from five grape varietals).
For 3€ per person, you’ll be able to taste these two wines during the doors open days. We’re opening every morning from 25 to 28 March, from 10.30 am to 2 pm; and on 25 and 28 March, the winery is also open from 4 pm to 8 pm. This schedule might need slight modifications in case there are too many booked wine tours. To check our availability, please phone us at 977 83 95 23.
A further comment regarding Mas de les Valls 2013. It is worth reminding that, after all wine tastings were completed, Guía Peñín‘s authors mentioned wines of DOQ Priorat among the three appellations of origin that came top in the ranking, “with its ‘spectacular’ quality, according to the tasting team’s opinions, where nearly all wines undergo some kind of ageing technique.”
Regarding Cupatge 2014, this wine has received some positive references like this one by Patrícia de Golferichs of La Festival (Gràcia, Barcelona): “A heartwarming wine, very powerful, yet with a refreshing and mineral finish epitomising the terroir where it grew, magnificent Priorat. To be tasted next to the fireplace!”
