The calçotada time has come to Priorat! So has the time for typical winter tasks to carry out at the vineyards. Would you like to learn how to prune a vine and eat calçots in a rural setting of extraordinary scenic beauty?
From Gratallops (DOQ Priorat), we’d like you to check out a proposal we created together with the Les Figueres restaurant (related to the Clos Figueras winery). This Sunday, 24 January, 2016, you’ll be able to enjoy an enriching and gastronomically exciting activity: vine pruning master class followed by a calçotada barbecue.
- Date: 24 January, 2016 (Sunday) from 11 am to 3 pm
- Location: Gratallops, DOQ Priorat
Thus you’re going to learn how to prune grapevines in a nice company! Yo won’t have to prune the whole vineyard, rather, we’re going to show you the techniques so that you can have a wonderdul time in touch with the nature. The master class is followed up by a calçotada barbecue at Clos Figueras paired with our wine. Last year we hosted a similar event with our grapevine adopters’ club, and this year we’re inviting you to blend in and have fun.

They’re already home!!! Mas Les Valls 2013 and Il·lia 2012, the cava coming soon. If you want to enjoy wines like these ones, adopt a grapevine in Priorat and take home the outcome of the harvest. Celler Devinssi gives you a chance.
For our winery, 2015 has been quite demanding from beginning to end. A marvellous grape harvest after a very changeable summer (with August-style July vs. mellow August)… There have been so many nice moments that it’s a challenge for us to choose twenty of them and draw the bottom line. Thank you all for thinking about us and for your treasurable collaboration. We wish you a Merry Christmass and a Happy 2016!
1. The year started with the whizz-bang article by Laura Casas for La Vanguardia Tarragona about our grapevine adoptions in Priorat. The article was out on 2 January and it had such a viral wallop that from 2 to 6 January we couldn’t help preparing adoption packages. Apart from that, some radio stations, like La Xarxa or Onda Cero, called us for interviews, while Ruth Troyano gave a detailed account of our initiative in her air section called “El Porró” at the Ona La Torre radio.
2. Do you remember the snowsall on 4 February? Well, here’s the video. Continue reading

Since the Guía Peñín 2016 wine book is out, we’re happy to share with you the evaluations that our 5 wines obtained in this wine reference book.
Our two jewels in the crown have been very well rated. Rocapoll 2012 obtained 92 points, whereas IL·LIA scored 91. Both wines belong to the category of vins de la vila de Gratallops, they’re elaborated manually in very limited editions: Rocapoll reaches Continue reading
What a lot of wine tours we’ve been hosting at the cellar! Despite the influx of wine tourists that have been coming over these days, we’ve found a gap in our agenda in order to share a second portion of visitors comments that were available at the Priorat tourism information website (see them below).
We have to admit and reveal that, over the last year, cellar door visitors that we’ve hosted learnt about us ‘through the grapevine’ and and our own resources, such as our website, blog in Russian, instagram and twitter. However, quite a few of them confessed having read the comments that were available at the Priorat tourism website. You can read our thoughts about the disappeared comments here.
In the meantime, we’re glad to tell you that it hasn’t taken longer than four years to get our TripAdvisor finally profile accepted, so you can now leave your comment about your experience with Celler Devinssi in DOQ Priorat. Continue reading
The world of wine travel is very dynamic, so is the digital world… Just a few weeks ago the digital world of Priorat underwent some important changes: the update of the website of the Priorat Tourism Office. We’d like to congratulate the Consell comarcal on the new design and on the improved page load time. At the same time, we realised that visitors’ comments disappeared, so did the option of leaving a comment at an establishment’s profile, whether it’s a winery, an olive oil mill, a restaurant, a museum or whatever place of tourist interest listed at the web of Priorat Tourism Office.
For our winery, the availability of such a public tool was very important because we knew how to capitalise on it and before the comments disappeared, we had amassed 71, posted between 2009 and 2015, i.e. 6 years of painstaking work. Continue reading
A year ago, we came up with a summary of some episodes that had happened to us “on the grapevine” and in wine tourism in 2013. Today, we’ve decided to go over this experience and share with you some moments that we’ve lived together. It takes only a few days to farewell the year 2014, a year that brought us very good grape crops, a remarkable increase of wine tours and also more wine sales and expansion of our grapevine adopters’ club. So, let’s clink our glasses together for 2015, with its new challenges and ambitions!
Well, today we’ve got 20 new stories. They are shown chronologically, from January through December, and we do not mean to rank anything: we are just grateful to you for your input. This time, we’ve decided to publish them beforehand, so that our grapevine adopters can see them earlier through their exclusive password. This all will be seen publicly from 7 January, 2015. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!
We wish you a happy 2015!
