Our visitors’ feedback at the website of the Priorat Tourism Office. Part 1

The world of wine travel is very dynamic, so is the digital world… Just a few weeks ago the digital world of Priorat underwent some important changes: the update of the website of the Priorat Tourism Office. We’d like to congratulate the Consell comarcal on the new design and on the improved page load time. At the same time, we realised that visitors’ comments disappeared, so did the option of leaving a comment at an establishment’s profile, whether it’s a winery, an olive oil mill, a restaurant, a museum or whatever place of tourist interest listed at the web of Priorat Tourism  Office.

For our winery, the availability of such a public tool was very important because we knew how to capitalise on it and before the comments disappeared, we had amassed 71, posted between 2009 and 2015, i.e. 6 years of painstaking work. Continue reading

Wines and wine tourism: 20 highlights of 2014. Celler Devinssi, DOQ Priorat

A year ago, we came up with a summary of some episodes that had happened to us “on the grapevine” and in wine tourism in 2013. Today, we’ve decided to go over this experience and share with you some moments that we’ve lived together. It takes only a few days to farewell the year 2014, a year that brought us very good grape crops, a remarkable increase of wine tours and also more wine sales and expansion of our grapevine adopters’ club. So, let’s clink our glasses together for 2015, with its new challenges and ambitions!

Well, today we’ve got 20 new stories. They are shown chronologically, from January through December, and we do not mean to rank anything: we are just grateful to you for your input. This time, we’ve decided to publish them beforehand, so that our grapevine adopters can see them earlier through their exclusive password. This all will be seen publicly from 7 January, 2015. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!

We wish you a happy 2015!

XV Festival of Wine and Traditional Grape Harvesting (Poboleda, DOQ Priorat, 14 September, 2013)

Do you want an original idea for a weekend while in Barcelona or Costa Dorada? A good option is to flee for a day from the crowded city or beach and delve into the wine-growing world – particularly the traditional way of picking grapes – in a natural breathtaking setting like the village of Poboleda located in the heart of the Priorat county. You can come over here with your friends and family to spend a very nice day and learn how about traditional grape harvesting in Priorat (with mules and carts) and barefoot grape stomping in an open barrel – and why not participate to experience those sensations our ancestors would live every autumn?

Wine tourism in Priorat: Note the Falset Wine Fair in your agenda!

The 18th edition of the Falset Wine Fair will take place on the 4 and 5 of May in Miquel Barceló Street (right outside the Cooperativa Falset-Marça, designed by Gaudí’s disciple architect Cèsar Martinell). As usual, tens of wineries will come together from both wine-making appellation of the county: DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant.

This is the right event for wine enthusiasts who want to enjoy a wide showcase of wine production from local wineries, among which there are quite a few artisan ones. Professionals are also attracted by this event in their search for some novelties to include in their lists or personal cellars.
