enoturisme al Priorat visita al Celler Devinssi, Gratallops, Costa DauradaWhat a lot of wine tours we've been hosting at the cellar! Despite the influx of wine tourists that have been coming over these days, we've found a gap in our agenda in order to share a second portion of visitors comments that were available at the Priorat tourism information website (see them below). We have to admit and reveal that, over the last year, cellar door visitors that we've hosted learnt about us 'through the grapevine' and and our own resources, such as our website, blog in Russian, instagram and twitter. However, quite a few of them confessed having read the comments that were available at the Priorat tourism website. You can read our thoughts about the disappeared comments here. In the meantime, we're glad to tell you that it hasn't taken longer than four years to get our TripAdvisor finally profile accepted,  so you can now leave your comment about your experience with Celler Devinssi in DOQ Priorat

No és bon juliol, si el raïm no té verol (July isn't fine if grapes don't ripen. A Catalan saying)

Four weeks of sun and drought... A month that looked like August rather than July! Obviously, for young grapevines, this has been challenging and has left its imprint. On the other hand, the consistent heat ensured the control shot for the weeds at the vineyards, so weeding has gone ahead easily and smoothly. However, out of the blue, July saw a very wet closure: two days full of thunderstorms!

June 2015: a dramatic month

We'll remember this June forever! Both the physical and virtual environment have been quite tough with us. Let's begin with the nature. This June has been characterized by clearly summerlike weather, with many days of sunshine and heat. However, we couldn't help a small hailstorm, which has affected some vines ... So be it! The grape berries have been healed, so we are looking forward to July's most exciting stage: the veraison, which is to begin shortly.

The world of wine travel is very dynamic, so is the digital world... Just a few weeks ago the digital world of Priorat underwent some important changes: the update of the website of the Priorat Tourism Office. We'd like to congratulate the Consell comarcal on the new design and on the improved page load time. At the same time, we realised that visitors' comments disappeared, so did the option of leaving a comment at an establishment's profile, whether it's a winery, an olive oil mill, a restaurant, a museum or whatever place of tourist interest listed at the web of Priorat Tourism  Office. For our winery, the availability of such a public tool was very important because we knew how to capitalise on it and before the comments disappeared, we had amassed 71, posted between 2009 and 2015, i.e. 6 years of painstaking work.

Abril plujós i maig ventós, fan el pagès ric i profitós (Rainy April and windy May make the peasant rich and wealthy. A Catalan saying)

[gallery link="file" columns="4" orderby="title"] Dear grapevine adopters, Before all, we'd like to thank those of you who were able to make it here to participate in the green-pruning master-class on 24 May. Despite the municipal elections! Thanks indeed! The upcoming activity - vine trimming - is on 19 July, 2015.

Abril finit, hivern passat. (April's over, winter's over. A Catalan saying)

The saying is very true, April is over, and it was a very pleasant month. The weather wasn't cold or hot, just warm. Rains were quite occasional, which favoured remarkably the right development of new shoots and blossoms, both things being abbundant! So were poppies that cropped up all around our vineyards and awarded us with a burst of fancy colours!

Març marcedor, nit freda i dia amb calor (March-like March, cold nights and warm days. A Catalan saying)

[gallery link="file" columns="4" ids="2414,2415,2416,2417,2418,2419,2420,2421,2422,2423" orderby="title"] As the saying tells us, March has been quite unpredictable in terms of weather. Days of cold, rain, fog, and particularly overcast ones, when clouds wouldn’t dissipate... Sometimes, the landscape seemed so melancholic that we weren’t able to take any picture. However, the month’s finale was just surprising: full of sunshine and quite warm. With typically cool Priorat nights, though... So we started the Easter week enjoying some noticeably springlike weather!
