In fact, we wanted to title it: “Celler Devinssi, the big revelation at TastambLlops 2015”, however owing to our modesty, we haven’t done that :) Anyway, on 2 May, we’ll be in Plaça de Dalt, Gratallops, from 6 to 9 pm, together with other 10 wineries operating in our village and also with some guest wineries. Over the recent years, CellerDevinssi has participated quite a few times in the Wine Fair held in early May in Falset and involving our county’s both wine appellations: DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant. Meanwhile, we’ve been keeping an eye on the event that belongs to the extended version of the Fair: TastambLlops (“Tasting with Wolves” in Catalan) at the Cal Llop Hotel. This is a get-together that englobes the cellars that have wines entirely produced in our village of Gratallops, therefore these wines are called 'vins de la vila'.

Gratallops, 29 March, 2015 Do you like cheese and wine? Do you know how to pair them? The Clos Figueras winery proposes to learn how to pair these two exquisite products at the “2nd fair of Catalan cheeses and Priorat wines”. Here, you can get to know some Catalan cheese producers and also savour wines made by some of our county wineries, both within DOQ Piorat and DO Montsant appellations. Sounds mouth-watering, right? When we received the invitation from Clos Figueras to participate we didn’t hesitate a sec to say yes. First of all, we’re good neighbours and we like to collaborate with them. Moreover, we just love the restaurant’s gardened terrace! Which Celler Devinssi’s wines will you be able to taste at the fair?

An impressive snowfall!

Yes, Feburary rewarded us with an impressive snowfall! Unlike in realitvely stable February of 2014, this time it was very similar to February of 2013... This 4F wasn't a very cold day, however, it snowed heavily from thick clouds that overcast the sky! See the video that we filmed on that day to see the snowfall's magnitude. By the way, in shady corners, the snow stayed for a week.

Al gener, tanca la porta i encén el braser. (In January, close the door and turn on the coal heater. A Catalan saying)

How does the year fire away? Ambitious, sunny and hard-working! Weather has been very generous with us, still it has adhered quite well to what you expect from the winter. Early January saw some cool days, however deprived of any dramatic temperature leaps... Moreover, you could find mushrooms in some forests! Late in January, temperatures started to drop, with chilly nights and minor snowfalls on the mountains les muntanyes (Els Ports, Prades, la Mola de Colldejou, Serra de Llaberia and the crest of Montsant).

Saint Valentine's Day is just round the bend. This festivity is quite recent here in Catalonia (nothing can outshine the age-old tradition of the lovers' day of Sant Jordi!). Saint Valentine's Day has become an extra chance to flourish your affect or love to your partner or possible future partner. Romantic gifts galore of all sorts of interest are ubiquitous, starting with small household items and finishing with romantic escapes and journeys just for two. Are you in love? Do you have a wine-lover partner? Do you love wine travel? Do you know a romantic couple? Are you after an original gift for Saint Valentine's Day? So we offer you our solution that can be attractive to many wine geeks who want to discover our small wine-making region that has become widely renowned across the world: DOQ Priorat. We offer you our three formulas of grapevine adoption that include:

A quite relaxed December... Our vineyards' scenery gained typical winter colours in December. The grapevines lost virtually all their leaves, which means that now the plants can be hardly seen, particularly at the old vineyard, where they are very short. So if you'd like to see and cherish your sponsored vines while they're sleeping you'll need to really delve in the vineyard. Well, now it's pruning time here in January.

A year ago, we came up with a summary of some episodes that had happened to us “on the grapevine” and in wine tourism in 2013. Today, we’ve decided to go over this experience and share with you some moments that we’ve lived together. It takes only a few days to farewell the year 2014, a year that brought us very good grape crops, a remarkable increase of wine tours and also more wine sales and expansion of our grapevine adopters’ club. So, let’s clink our glasses together for 2015, with its new challenges and ambitions! Well, today we’ve got 20 new stories. They are shown chronologically, from January through December, and we do not mean to rank anything: we are just grateful to you for your input. This time, we’ve decided to publish them beforehand, so that our grapevine adopters can see them earlier through their exclusive password. This all will be seen publicly from 7 January, 2015. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!

We wish you a happy 2015!
