The ADN Verema 2026 Wine Guide has brought us a piece of good news that we would like to share with all those of you who follow Celler Devinssi, who visit us in Gratallops, or who simply love the wines of the Priorat. Two of our wines have been included in this edition of the guide: IL·LIA 2021 and Rocapoll 2022. And they have not only been included; they have done so with scores that make us feel proud of the work carried out.
For us, a guide is not just a number. It is an external view, a tasting carried out with judgement and distance, and a way of seeing how the wines express themselves outside the winery, far from our daily routine among vines, tanks and barrels. When that view recognises the character of a wine, its energy and its ability to speak of a landscape, the satisfaction is twofold.
What is the ADN Verema Wine Guide?
The ADN Verema Guide is a publication based on scores obtained in blind wine tastings. This detail is important: the wine is assessed without the weight of the label, the name of the winery or any prior expectations. What matters is what is in the glass.
The guide uses Verema’s own scale, ranging from 7.5 to 10 points. As the publication explains, wines that do not reach the minimum score are discarded, and those that obtain at least 8 points are included in the guide, a score roughly equivalent to 90 Parker points. The conversion applied by Verema is simple: the Verema score is multiplied by 5 and 50 is added. Thus, an 8 is equivalent to 90 Parker points..
This way of scoring makes it possible to work with decimals and to fine-tune the assessment much more precisely. For wine lovers, this helps to understand not only whether a wine is liked, but also to what extent it stands out within its style, its appellation and its moment of evolution.
DOQ Priorat in the guide: 13 wines and two Devinssi references
In this 2026 edition, the guide includes 13 wines from DOQ Priorat. It is a brief but significant presence within an appellation that is small in surface area and huge in personality. The Priorat is a demanding territory, with llicorella soils, pronounced slopes, low yields and wines that often combine depth, tension and a marked mineral expression.

Both scores seem especially valuable to us because they recognise two different profiles of the winery. IL·LIA shows a more collective vision, with several varieties working together to provide depth, fruit and structure. Rocapoll, by contrast, focuses on a single variety, samsó, and on a more precise, intense expression with a clear vocation for ageing.
IL·LIA 2021: ripe fruit, acidity and structure
The tasting notes for IL·LIA 2021 portray a wine with an intense, bright and attractive cherry-red colour. Several tasters agree on this lively visual presence, with notable depth of colour and, in some cases, a garnet or slightly orange rim.
On the nose, IL·LIA 2021 moves between ripe black fruit, cherries, plums, hints of ripe banana and ripe pear, and a deeper side marked by coffee, toasted notes, balsamic notes and mineral nuances. There are also references to carob and wet stone, two descriptors that fit very well with the idea of a Mediterranean Priorat: dry, mineral and full of landscape memory.
On the palate, the wine is structured, broad and unctuous, with marked acidity that gives it energy. The notes also highlight firm tannins, a good entry and an aftertaste in which ripe fruit and sweet spices return. It is a wine with presence, but also with freshness. This combination is key: the Priorat can be intense, but when the acidity is well balanced, the wine gains length, balance and gastronomic potential.
Reading the assessments as a whole, IL·LIA 2021 appears as a wine with its own character, faithful to the style of the area, yet without losing approachability. It has fruit, tension, hints of ageing and a texture that invites you back for another glass.
Rocapoll 2022: depth, freshness and future
Rocapoll 2022 has been particularly well rated, with 95 Parker points / 8.9 Verema. The tasting notes point to a wine with a cherry-red colour, medium-high or high depth, clean and bright. It is a visual introduction that already suggests concentration, but without any feeling of excessive weight.
On the nose, Rocapoll is described as a wine of intensity and complexity. There is ripe black fruit, as well as red fruit, balsamic notes, aromatic herbs, undergrowth, hints of garrigue, mineral nuances, toasted notes and spices such as black pepper. Some comments also mention cherry liqueur, blackberry jam, freshly roasted coffee and humus. In other words, it is a deep and very Priorat-like whole, with fruit, landscape and ageing well integrated.
On the palate, Rocapoll 2022 stands out for its broad entry, good acidity, volume and structure. The notes define it as a fresh, flavoursome, captivating and long wine, with tannins that are present but well integrated. It is also noted that, tasted 24 hours later, it maintains and even improves its sensations, with a smoother and rounder mouthfeel. This detail is very interesting for wine enthusiasts: when a wine grows with air, it often speaks to us of depth, solidity and ageing potential.
The idea repeated in several notes is clear: Rocapoll 2022 is a wine with a great future and ageing capacity. It can already be enjoyed today, but it also seems ready to evolve calmly in the bottle.
Satisfied, grateful and eager to continue
At Celler Devinssi we are very satisfied with these results. We are satisfied because of the scores, of course, but above all because the tasting notes recognise aspects that are essential to us: ripe yet lively fruit, freshness, minerality, structure, persistence and the character of the Priorat.
IL·LIA 2021 and Rocapoll 2022 are different wines, but they share the same will: to express the place they come from. Gratallops, llicorella, the Mediterranean climate, patience in the vineyard and respect in the winery are present in one way or another.
Receiving this recognition encourages us to continue working with the same high standards and the same enthusiasm. And, above all, it makes us want to keep opening bottles, sharing conversations and celebrating wine with all those people who understand that a glass can be much more than just a glass.
