We are proud to share with you that we have just learned that our IL·LIA 2020 has collected another accolade, in this case in the United Kingdom.
It has obtained a gold medal with 92 points in this international wine tasting. In total there have been a hundred international wines that have achieved the gold medal, among which only four from Spain, such as “61 Dorado en Rama” (Bodega Cuatro Rayas, DO Rueda), “Pinyeres” (Celler Masroig, our neighbors who belong to DO Montsant), “IL·LIA” (Celler Devinssi, DOQ Priorat) and “Señorío de Iniesta 34 Petit Verdot” (Castilla la Mancha).

Tasting Notes: Red fruit aromas on nose. Sweet spices, star anise and balsamic notes on palate. The wine feels opulent, rich with great concentration of flavours.

The London Wine Competition is an annual event that evaluates wines based on their quality, value, and packaging. It’s designed to provide consumers and trade buyers with a reliable indication of wines that are of good quality and offer value for money. The competition involves blind tastings by a panel of judges who assess the wines according to various criteria such as appearance, aroma, taste, and overall impression. Wines that score highly in these categories are awarded medals, such as gold, silver, and bronze, to signify their quality. The competition aims to recognise and promote wines that are not only well-made but also commercially viable in the market.

A month ago, IL·LIA 2020 received a silver medal at the international Mundus Vini tasting in Germany and also excellent evaluations from the magazine “Enos Wein & Kultur“ and the tasting platform “Wein.Plus“ . Read more below.
