Special issue from Falset – Sant Feliu de Llobregat – Barcelona

Not long ago, the Devinssi Winery (DOQ Priorat) took part in the Falset Wine Fair (DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant).Although the Priorat sky was fairly overcast and it felt like a rain, everybody at the fair was impressed by the number of visitors. According to the Falset Town Hall, over 12 000 wine lovers strolled through the event tasting reds and whites from all winery participants.

Our stall was located right across from the famous Priorat restaurant Celler de l’Àspic. As we had promised, visitors tasted “Cupatge”, “Mas de les Valls” i “Il·lia”, and each of them proved great success.
At the Falset Wine Fair, not only did we establish new trade and cooperation contacts with overseas export or import and HoReCa experts, but with local wine-tour professionals from Priorat.

This weekend, 11 to 13 May, we’ve been at the Sant Feliu de Llobregat Spring Fair together with the Taula Selecció wine and gourmet shop, Barcelona. It’s the first time this fair has allowed for a featured area for wine tasting. Wineries and tasting clubs stalls have been pulled together around the fair concert tent, so visitors have been able to enjoy both the art of wine and that of music all at once.

At the Sant Feliu fair, we’ve got some new grapevine adoptionsubscriptions: some people turned really enthusiastic about this gift idea: a chance to have some wine from the grapevine you sponsor.
Together with our “Cupatge”, “Mas deles Valls” and “Il·lia”, visitors have had the chance to enjoy the white Diviño 2011, albariño from Rías Baixas and the Renardes cava, two refreshing wines that are so timely during the summertime.
The point of participating in such an overarching fair is the chance to promote your wine among non-expert guests. The Sant Feliu Fair has been successful in terms ofPriorat wine tours promotion, including Russian-speaking audience that is increasingly noticeable in Barcelona and Costa Daurada.
