03 Jul Mas de les Valls 2024, the Celler Devinssi wine you can taste at Cafè Flor de Maig

In Gratallops, wine is part of the landscape, part of the conversations and also part of the village’s everyday life. You do not always need to take a full winery tour to start discovering the wines of Gratallops: sometimes it is enough to sit for a while in a familiar place, order a glass and let the wine tell part of the story of the land.
During the first fortnight of July, the Cafè Flor de Maig in Gratallops offers a lovely opportunity to do just that. As part of the Vins de la Quinzena initiative, you can taste by the glass and also buy by the bottle the new vintage of Mas de les Valls 2024, the red wine from Celler Devinssi.
The idea is simple and very much rooted in village life: to bring local wines closer to the people who live in, stroll through or stop in Gratallops, in an everyday, lively and shared space such as Cafè Flor de Maig.
Vins de la Quinzena: a window onto the wines of Gratallops
The Vins de la Quinzena initiative was created by the Associació de Cellers de Gratallops, in collaboration with Cafè Flor de Maig. The idea is to offer, every fortnight, a small selection of wines made by the village wineries, so that customers can taste them calmly, without hurry and without needing to plan a full wine tourism experience.

This format makes it possible to discover different styles, wineries and ways of understanding Priorat. It also helps give visibility to the work being done in Gratallops, a small village with a very strong connection to wine culture and the DOQ Priorat.
The selection changes throughout the year, seeking a certain balance between wineries, wine styles and the season. During the warmer months, white and rosé wines are more present; when the cooler weather arrives, more reds are gradually added. This fortnight, however, Mas de les Valls 2024 brings the character of a Priorat red wine made to be shared and discovered naturally.
Mas de les Valls 2024: the new vintage from Celler Devinssi
The Celler Devinssi wine featured this fortnight is Mas de les Valls 2024, a red wine from the DOQ Priorat made with red Grenache, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon.
It is a wine that speaks of our landscape: of the Mediterranean light, of the vineyards of Gratallops and of the patient work of the small wineries of Priorat. Without the need for lengthy technical explanations, it is a welcoming gateway into the world of Celler Devinssi wines and into the way we understand wine: approachable, rooted in place and made to be shared.
For those who already know the winery, this is an opportunity to taste the new vintage in a different setting. For those who do not yet know us, it can be a simple first encounter with Celler Devinssi and with wine tourism in Priorat: a glass in the village café may well spark the wish to visit a vineyard, discover a winery or take a bottle home.
At Cafè Flor de Maig, Mas de les Valls 2024 can be tasted by the glass for €3.50 and can also be bought by the bottle for €25. This allows you to taste it without commitment and, if you enjoy the wine, take a bottle away to continue enjoying it later.
Also this fortnight: Parhelia 2024
In addition to Mas de les Valls 2024, this fortnight you will also find Parhelia 2024 by Balaguer i Cabré, a white wine made with white Grenache. It is another way of approaching the wines of Gratallops, especially on these warm days, when starting with a glass of white often feels just right.
Even so, at Celler Devinssi we are especially pleased that our Mas de les Valls 2024 is part of this selection and can reach customers in such a welcoming setting as Cafè Flor de Maig.
Making village life, sharing wine

Initiatives such as Vins de la Quinzena have a value that goes beyond the tasting itself. They help strengthen village life, create links between wineries, local establishments and visitors, and bring local wine closer to people who might not have gone directly into a winery.
Gratallops is a small village, but its name often appears in conversations about great wines, landscape, llicorella slate and Priorat. The fact that these wines can also be tasted in a village café makes them more accessible, more everyday and, in a certain way, more alive.
We therefore invite you to stop by the Cafè Flor de Maig, order a glass of Mas de les Valls 2024 and discover this new vintage from Celler Devinssi. And if you enjoy it, you already know: you can also take a bottle home.
