10 May Pruning vines + barbecue in Gratallops! 22 May, 2016
May is the time for grapevine green-pruning… Did you know what this is? It’s a paramount grapevine farming activity that consists in selecting the best vine twigs ensuring the optimum grape ripening. Would you like to learn how to green-prune a vine with a team of nice people? Followed by a barbecue just in the lap of Priorat‘s spring scenery?
From Gratallops (DOQ Priorat), we’d like you to check out a proposal we created together with the Les Figueres restaurant (related to the Clos Figueras winery). On Sunday, 22 May, 2016, you’ll be able to enjoy an enriching and gastronomically exciting activity: vine green-pruning master class followed by a barbecue on the restaurant terrace.

Place: Gratallops, DOQ Priorat
Thus you’re going to learn how to carry out an exciting vine farming activity! You won’t have to green-prune the whole vineyard, rather, we’re going to show you the techniques so that you can have a wonderdul time in touch with the nature. The master class is followed up by a barbecue at Clos Figueras paired with our wine. Last year we hosted a similar event with our grapevine adopters’ club, and this year we’re inviting you to blend in and have fun.
Schedule:
10.30 am – 11 am – get togehter at Celler Devinssi
11 am – 11.30 am – guided walk to the vineyard
11.30 am – 12.30 pm – green-pruning master class at the vineyard
12.30 pm – 1 pm – walk back to the village
1 pm – 1.30 pm – visit to the winery
1.30 pm – 3 pm – barbecue at Clos Figueras
