Since the Guía Peñín 2016 wine book is out, we’re happy to share with you the evaluations that our 5 wines obtained in this wine reference book.

Our two jewels in the crown have been very well rated. Rocapoll 2012 obtained 92 points, whereas IL·LIA scored 91. Both wines belong to the category of vins de la vila de Gratallops, they’re elaborated manually in very limited editions: Rocapoll reaches 300 bottles per vintage, and IL·LIA is in the region of 1 thousand. Wines that rank over 90 points in Guía Peñín are said to be excellent.

Our white Mas de les Valls 2013, another vi de la vila de Gratallops, reached 89 points. A very good mark for our white, bearing in mind that we only produce some 600 bottles. Together with Rocapoll and IL·LIA, this one was rolled out at this year’s Tast amb Llops.

Our red Mas de les Valls 2013 and Cupatge de Devinssi 2014 also attained these marvellous 89 points and stay just at the entrance to the uppermost group of the league table. It is worth reminding that, after all wine tastings were completed, Guía Peñín‘s authors mentioned wines of DOQ Priorat among the three appellations of origin that came top in the ranking. They also hihglighted the 2013 Priorat vintage, “with its ‘spectacular’ quality, according to the tasting team’s opinions, where nearly all wines undergo some kind of ageing technique.”
