Wine tourism in Priorat: Note the Falset Wine Fair in your agenda!

Equally luring will it be for those who are at the outset of their discoveries in the wine world: fancy a trip with your family or friends to spend a nice day tasting wines from such a memorable region. The entrance tickets include five vouchers to taste wines. It’s surely thrilling to walk around wineries’ stalls and taste a large variety of wines. Please be careful, though, because wines from DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant are quite alcoholic, and one can get under the influence in nothing flat (particularly if the day is consistently sunny).

Wine tourism professionals will also be interested in including the wine fair in their agendas. This is a fabulous chance to get exposed at the same time and place to this plentiful choice of visitable wineries and other tourist equipments of the county (hotels, restaurants, shops, etc.) and discover the Wine Castle of Falset, a very original interpretation centre.

So in a well-planned wine faire, there’s always room for everyone who wants to unwind during a nice weekend in captivating scenery of unconventional beauty, if above all you decide to bridge a stroll through the fair with a car drive into the depths of Priorat: if you press forward into the mountainous part full of llicorella (slate) slopes and terraces, you are likely to be taken aback with the rugged and abrupt hillside.

The Celler Devinssi artisan winery (DOQ Priorat) will participate in the event (later on, we’ll tell you which stall is ours), so we’re preparing our wines “Il·lia” and “Mas de les Valls” for tasting and selling at special wine fare rates. Like always, you’ll find the detailed information about guided wine tours to our premises and about grapevine adoptions, an original idea of an elegant gift.

Celler Devinssi’s vine-grower, oenologist and owner Josep Roca will be there, too, so you’ll be able to ask him any questions about artisan wine-making. If the chat with Josep makes you enthusiastic about seeing our artisan winey, you can fix and enjoy a winery tour to get an insight into handcraft winemaking.
